- 1). Spray vinegar from a spray bottle directly on the dried concrete. The acid in the vinegar loosens the concrete from the paint, without taking the paint with it. Let the vinegar soak in for five minutes.
- 2). Spray more vinegar on the concrete and let it soak in for one minute. Rinse the concrete off with water. Some dried concrete will remain.
- 3). Sand the remaining concrete with 1,200-grit sandpaper. Sand the concrete and avoid sanding the paint as much as possible. Sand until the concrete is gone.
- 4). Pour a quarter-size amount of liquid rubbing compound onto a clean microfiber towel. Buff the sanded area with the compound and towel, until it shines.
